Anonymous asked:
Does your son know the truth about his sister's death?

“ Your brother's been in an accident.

Saphira’s death….
No, Aleksander doesn’t know about her death at all.                                                                 They   tried  to  save  him.

To him, she probably isn’t even dead.
“He died on the operating table."

He just thinks her a coward.
     He believes she ran away,
ran from him, from her duty and responsibility.
She ran and left the home she was raised in.
              He thinks her an accomplice-
one who was complicit in the
death of their beloved older brother.

She was always the rowdier twin, the one who would go and instigate trouble, who would seek out adventure like darklings seek corruption and fearlings seek out fear.

                                                       “It was your sister's fault.
                                                                              “She's run away."

Alek swallowed that falsehood faster than he did anything else. His twin had hated it here, hated how her brother would listen to him with rapt attention, doing anything and everything to make sure that his father loved him.

                                                                        “It was all her fault.

Aleksander loved his brother, for it was his brother who tried to spare him from his sister’s mistakes.

It was all to easy to make him believe
that his death was at her hands.
